About Hina Matsuri
Platforms with a red hi-mōsen are used to display a set of ornamental dolls (雛人形, hina-ningyō) representing the Emperor, Empress, attendants, and musicians in traditional court dress of the Heian period. The custom of displaying dolls began during the Heian period. Formerly, people believed the dolls possessed the power to contain bad spirits.


There is an emperor, empress, blossom and a light. The large one measures about 4.5 x 4.7 cm.

When we bought these we were told that they had been in storage for some time but they couldn't tell us exactly how long so....these might not be vintage (20 years be Etsy standards) BUT they are a supply and I think they fit with this shop so we are offering them for sale here.

Peacock

I was so happy to find this print! In this print there are 3 peacocks (1 green and 2 white) on the branch of tree in forest. How beautiful their wings and tails are!!! 

This is a magazine insert. The original painting was displayed at the 19th Exhibition of the Nihon Bijyutuin in 1965. The title is "The Peacock". 

This is in excellent condition but it is vintage so there are imperfections.
This would be perfect for decorating it on the wall at home.

It measures about 26.5 cm wide x 38.5 cm long.

Orange Gold Purse in Japan
