This doll head is for a doll called "ichimatsu" and ichimatsu dolls are the closest thing to the Western idea of a play doll. 

This head is fully finished (the wooden head is completely covered by clay).


It measures:
From the top of the head to the end of the neck is is about 10 cm. Including the metal stick it is about 14 cm.
It is about 20 cm around.

Please look at the pictures carefully- the one hair decoration has come loose. It can be glued back into place.

When we bought these we were told that they had been in storage for some time but they couldn't tell us exactly how long so....these might not be vintage (20 years be Etsy standards) BUT they are a supply and I think they fit with this shop so we are offering them for sale here.

This one measures about 16 cm long including her hair and about 6.5 cm including the stick and about 9.5 cm around. The details are really amazing! The head is made from clay.

I was lucky to come across very old doll heads. We were told they are pre WWII doll heads. He is very old. Please look carefully at the pictures - due to his age there are many scratches and chips on his head.


This one measures about 13.8 cm long and about 16.5 cm around. He is heavy for his size!
