Dog - Japanese Shrine Wood Plaque EMA Lucky Charm E4-64

Japanese Shrine Wood Plaque Dog EMA Lucky Charm E4-64

Japanese Shrine Wood Plaque Dog EMA Lucky Charm E4-64

This is an "Ema". "Ema" are small wooden plaques on which Shinto
worshippers write their prayers or wishes. The ema are then left hanging
up at the shrine, where the kami (spirits or gods) receive them. They
bear various pictures, often of animals or other Shinto imagery, and
many have the word gan'i (願意), meaning "wish", written along the side.
In ancient times people would donate horses to the shrines for good
favor, over time this was transferred to a wooden plaque with a picture
of a horse, and later still to the various wooden plaques sold today for
the same purpose.

Ema are sold for various wishes. Common
reasons for buying a plaque are for success in work or on exams, marital
bliss, to have children, and health. Some shrines specialize in certain
types of these plaques, and the larger shrines may offer more than one.
Sales of ema help support the shrine financially.

********This Ema is from Narumi Jinja Shrine in Nagoya. Dod is playing a money hammer. They are lucky charms in year of dog.

開運招福 = good luck and happiness

昭和壬戌歳 = year of dog in showa period

成海神社= Narumi Jinja Shrine

It measures about 8.2 x 6.1 x 0.5 cm.

This is an amazing kit for animal lovers. You can make an imprint of your little dog/cat's paw into frame.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FOR THE PINK FRAME. SEE THE 2ND PICTURE.

It comes with everything you need....the clay and the frame.

Please note: The pink package contains the clay to make the mold with. The silver package contains the white clay.

Instructions:

1)The clay in the pink package is to make a mold of your pet's paw-roll into a ball and then press down with the palm of your hand into a circle not wider than 5.5 cm (so this is for small animals).

2) Press your pet's paw into the clay to make an imprint.

3) Let the clay air dry until it is completely dry.

4) You now have your mold. Please open the silver package and make a circle of clay the same size as the mold. Push the clay into the mold. Then, use the plastic bubble (that will hold the clay imprint in the frame) to cut the extra clay off (please see pictures and the back of the package).

5) Carefully, remove the clay imprint from the mold.

6) Please air dry for 3-4 days. Then, put in the frame along with some pictures of your pet and/or kids etc.

Voila! Your pet will always be around!
