Japanese Dance Fan Mai Ogi Red Silver Fan by VintageFromJapan
This is a "mai ogi" or dance fan.This is stunning! The colors are red and silver. The silver pine is beautiful! The handle is made of bamboo.
It is about 28.5 cm long and when opened about 50 cm wide. It is vintage and therefore not perfect. Please look closely at the pictures.

This is a vintage branding iron called a "yakiin". These were/are used on wood, leather...food...anything you want to brand. Please see the last picture to see an example of how it can be used.
I think they would look fabulous if used in pottery as a stamp. Also...I think they could be used with ink but as it is metal, the image wouldn't be as smooth and clear as a rubber stamp -please keep that in mind if that is how you want to use it.
Simplified in the Heian period from the man'yōgana kanji 由.

These are really cute bento baran (food dividers) for bento box lunches! These are made of silicone and therefore can be used over and over!
These can used in the microwave, fridge and freezer.
DO NOT use in the oven.
It says they can be washed in the dishwasher but please understand that Japanese dishwashers are different than those in North America so I would wash by hand.

Japanese chiyogami washi paper is silkscreened by hand with vibrant colors. Chiyogami paper has a long past but today the decorative patterns are silkscreened onto machinemade sheets of paper that is a mix of kozo ( a deciduous tree indigenous to Shikoku and Kyushu Islands in Japan) and sulphite (sulphite is used to keep the price reasonable).
To create 1 piece of gorgeous chiyogami, a sheet of paper is silkscreened by hand with each individual color. Between applications of color, the sheets are dried on racks. You can imagine how time consuming and difficult it must be to line up each color in relation to the pattern!
They measure 6 x 6 cm or 2.4 x 2.4 inches.There are 40 sheets in total - 20 plain colored and 20 with a pattern.
This paper is perfect for scrapbooking, card making, origami, collage or any project you can think of!

When we bought these we were told that they had been in storage for some time but they couldn't tell us exactly how long so....these might not be vintage (20 years be Etsy standards) BUT they are a supply and I think they fit with this shop so we are offering them for sale here.
This one measures about 34.5 cm long including her hair and about 12.5 cm including the stick and about 20 cm around. The details are really amazing! The head is made from clay.
